I preached this past Sunday on the topic: What is the Gospel? Preaching can be mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausting; however, by God's grace, I felt a deep peace and calmness while up on the pulpit. I felt confident in the Savior and His Righteousness. The text I preached the gospel was from Romans 3:21-26.

What is the Gospel?

The heart of the Gospel is that God saves sinners through faith alone in Christ alone. All have sinned and are utterly lost, hopeless, and condemned before a holy God. But God in his great mercy sent His Son to die on the cross in our place, be buried, and rise again so that we might be declared righteous before the Father because he was our substitute. Jesus redeemed us from the slavery of sin and God's wrath was satisfied on the cross. Now God looks on us with favor because of the work of Christ when we embrace the Son of God by Faith. What glorious news!
